Join us on this AMAZING family trip to Panama!

Angela and Stacy (T.H.E. Admin) explored the area this past October 2022. It is a beautiful and safe country, that we would love to explore with other families!

We will be visiting/seeing:

WHEN: November 26, 2023 - December 1st, 2023

Cost: $1700 per person

Discover Panama as a local and not as a typical tourist. Get to know the people, culture, and traditions; and discover the flora and fauna of Panama. You will immerse yourself in the history of Panama and the historical sites in the metropolitan area. Come as a tourist and leave as a true local, because you have connected with this beautiful tropical land.

**Itinerary**

Day 1 November 26 - Arrival Transfer

Welcome to Panama and short intro to the country.

The transportation will be available at least an hour before your flight arrival at the Tocumen International Airport. This is a group transfer, so you might have to wait on other participants of your group that have the same flight itinerary.

You will be driven from the Tocumen to your 5-star accommodation (JW Marriott hotel or Similar). You will receive an enclosed program details, complete Itineraries and recommendations.

Assistance

Our staff will be available and ready to help you with your hotel check-in if you need help.

Meals: Dinner

You will be invited to join the rest of the group to have dinner and for a group welcome and introduction to set the good mood and atmosphere.

Day 2 November 27 - The First Embera Village + Panama Canal - Duration 8 hours

On the second day, our local tour guide will be with you to tour the Embera tribe. It is located in the National Chagres, at 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Panama City. We will get on board the traditional mode of transportation of the indigenous tribe, the canoe, and experience Lake Alajuela. This lake is fed by the Chagres River that is the most important source of fresh in Panama, for both human consumption and the Panama Canal. You will have a great jungle experience right in the Chagres National Park, on your way to our first stop at the Waterfall, and then at the Village where you will be welcome again. We will discover their culture, traditions, customs, and much more!

After this amazing experience, you will be headed to the Panama Canal Visitor center of Miraflores to appreciate the engineering behind the construction of the canal; the world's 7th wonder of the world.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch + Snacks

Day 3 November 28 - The sloths, Monkey Islands + Colonial bike ride - Duration 8 hours.

Located 45 minutes away from the city center in the Soberania National Park, you will be headed to the Marina, to sail in the Chagres River. Then we will sail in the famous Gatun Lake in a great adventure; searching for the different monkeys that inhabit the area. We will then visit the Gamboa exhibitions to discover the sloths, butterfly sanctuary, orchid nursery, and doted frogs. Later, we will discover the Old Square and Casco Antiguo, in one of the best ways possible- riding a bike through the city!

Day 4 November 29 - Rest Day – No planned Activities.

Organize your day as you see fit - go shopping, take an early morning walk, or stay in bed. Discover Panama at your own pace or simply enjoy the hotel amenities.

Day 5 November 30 - Anton Valley - the Old Crater - Duration 8 hours

To most, Panama is only known for its Canal. But for us and our customers, we want to make sure you discover the most of Panama during your short stay. You will spend a day in Anton Valley, the old Crater, to discover what set this destination apart from the rest of the country. You will visit the Nispero Zoo, El Macho (waterfall), and swim in the natural pool. Later on, we will visit one of the destination museums in which the blue print was given by Frank Gehry.

Day 6 December 1 - Chao mi Amigo

This is the day we inevitable have to say Chao mi Amigo, but we wish you could stay longer.

Our staff will be available early morning to help you with the hotel checkout if you need assistance. Our transportation will also be ready for group transfers, from the hotel to the Tocumen International Airport.

Pick-up

  • Pick-up services are included for each tour day and drop-off at the same location
  • Transfers services upon Arrival are included, from Tocumen International Airport to your accomodation.
  • Transfers services upon departure are included, from your accomodation in Panama city to Tocumen International Airport.

**Please make sure everyone has an up-to-date passport. Your current passport must be valid for at least six months after your date of entry. Your itinerary has been planned with the most care and with your best interest in mind and at heart, to make sure you get the most and best of out your vacation with the taste to come back for more. There is no rush whatsoever, therefore you get great quality of services.

Travel preparations during the rainy season will be needed. You may want to bring along at least an umbrella, an impermeable / raincoat, one pair of quick-dry pants and shirt, and a sweater or jacket for the cooler night temperatures. Anti-Mosquito / repellent will also be necessary. Everything you may for your well-being, this includes medication that you take on a daily basis or frequently. Bring appropriate clothes for each day activity and tour, that may include hiking and trails.

You should feel free to choose to take a rest day or skip an activity at any time, for your own convenience, either to relax some more at your hotel or to venture on your own exploring at your own pace. You are required to inform your tour director of your decision before the next day departure; there will be no refund for any skip day for any reason whatsoever.

Group Atmosphere

1. Greatness: is only possible when everyone plays their part, we encourage you to start each day with the best spirit and attitude looking forward to an UPBEAT JOURNEY. 2. Tardiness before the tour: it pays well and beyond measure when everyone is on time for their tour departure on each and every day tour, unless presented with a last minute emergency. Tardiness can set the wrong mood for the whole day. 3. Tardiness during the tour: You may follow the instructions provided by your Tour director to set the appropriate mood for the day tour, being late or making the rest of the group wait on you may create unnecessary tension and disturbance. 4. Respect: This is one of the most key elements, you may address all your fellow tour participants and avoid unnecessary conflict at all time. You must also treat your local tour director and driver with the same level of respect they treat you.

Participation-

You may not join your day tour under the influence of any substance that affects your clear judgment or your decision-making skill. You will not be allowed to participate on the tour for that day and for repeated situation you will be banned from partaking in any other tours/activities scheduled for the remainder of the program, without any refund. You should not join any activity / tour if you are not feeling well and put yourself and others at risk, your tour director may restrict your participation to a current or later activity / tour until you are in a better condition.

Arrival Transfers-

Arrival Transfer is included in the package price, from only Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, to your accommodation’s during the specific time indicated below. All other arrivals different than one's scheduled, is at your own expenses.

First available transfer 12:00 P.M sharp • Second available transfer 1:00 P.M sharp • Third Available Transfer 2: 00 P.M Sharp • Fourth Available transfer: 4:00 P.M. Sharp • Fifth and Last Transfer: 5:00 P.M sharp Departure Transfers Departure Transfers from your Accommodations to the Tocumen International Airport only is fully covered during the specific time indicated below, all other departure different the ones scheduled is at your own expenses. Cancellation Policy*- We require a 30 day cancellation window. You must cancel prior to 30 days before the event. If you have to cancel within 30 days, we can transfer the tickets to another person/family (You will have to find the transfer yourself). No refunds will be given within the 30 day window, unless you can find a transfer. If you are invoiced for an event, you have to let us know, if you no longer are interested in the event. Ignoring the invoice, without letting us know, will result in the invoice still needing to be paid. Some of The Homeschool Experience events will have special circumstances that will not follow these cancellation rules.
